He shared the following testimonio while waiting at the Colombian customs office to attend a WM rally for binational cooperation at Ecuador border (Transcription and English translation below):

Transcription

Translation

The March and I. Despite not being completely involved in the World March for Peace and Non violence I lend it my total support and with this [I also support] all who throughout history have aimed for peaceful conviviality among human beings. There is no doubt that in such dark moments for world peace as those taking place in these initial years of the XXI century, peace is a priority for humanity and the assurance that the planet may not continue to be torn by capitalist predation. Peace is the start of a new world.
The March and the World. I am convinced that in a historical moment so convulsed by situations of violence and war, clamoring for world peace is, above all else, our duty towards life, as well as towards the generations that will come and that have the same right we have to enjoy a planet where social discussions are generated in an environment of dialogue and respect towards divergent opinions. The World March for peace and non-violence makes visible that culture of respect and tolerance that we must build, especially the younger generations.
The March and the Future. The World March for peace and non-violence is the most important precedent in the beginnings of the XXI century for the forging of a culture of peace among the peoples of the world. In the name of peace and the rejection of violence these peoples have united and I hope these voices may never run out and that each day they may gain greater strength. The objective is that the shouts and clamors for peace may one day quiet the strikes of weapons; weapons that subjugate human dignity with chains.
Other topics. It is a shame, particularly in Colombia, that civil society did not come out into the streets in support of the World March for Peace and Non-violence because if there is one people that embodies the pains of war and the destruction of weapons, that is the Colombian people. However, those of us who have shared and supported the March have considered ourselves to be builders of peace and that we will seek [ways for] these ideals to take root in the hearts of our friends and relatives so that once and for all we may break from the terrible pain of killing one another.

Translation
The March and I. “In the path of life each person faces circumstances that help her become who she is. In this way I arrive at the march in my personal life, and although it is clear to me that changes don’t take place instantaneously, our goals can be reached taking steps that place us closer to what we want. All world-level changes take place because each person changes internally and contributes to this transformation.
The March and the World. “In a globalized world in which you wear Chinese clothes, eat Latin American foods, and drink wine from Europe, it is impossible that human rights could be considered only for a few. Constantly we brag about the advances generated by democracy. However, only majorities make the decisions, so what I consider better is when minorities can state an opinion and be taken into account. Similarly, I consider that the objective of the march is to leave an imprint on the people of each of the countries that were visited to obtain a peace without frontiers, to raise awareness [i.e., concientizar] within people that violence is not a solution; on the contrary, it is the root of all problems.”
