Testimonio about the World March

.   Tania, a longtime humanist, was one of the organizers of the World March in Mendoza. She shared her experience of the March weeks before the arrival of the March in Mendoza: (transcription and translation below):

La Marcha para mi es la salida de un hecho de hace mucho tiempo, de 1969, de la Cura del Sufrimiento, la harenga que se hizo en Punta de Vacas. Y también hoy la marcra termina allí, en Punta de Vacas.  Para mi esta salida, a decirle al mundo, a aquellos  que solo escucharon unas pocas palabras, unas pocas personas, es un sentimiento de que algo se ha podido hacer en todo este tiempo. Esta unión de todas estas naciones que están participando, de la gente, de lo- crea entusiasmo y además refleja una real necesidad del ser humano, para poder vivir en paz, sin violencia, y esta marcha es crear una conciencia que creo que está latente, pero no hay- esta Marcha la plasma en el mundo, la hace presente, la hacer evidente.  Para mi, el día que escuché que íbamos a marchar por eso, me…. tuve una emoción muy profunda [se emociona, risas]. Este, me commovió. Era la primera vez que salíamos todos a decir, y además a hacerlo evidente, patente, fue realmente emotivo ese día y hoy, ya casi a punto de terminar esta Marcha, me invade una alegría de un trabajo como bien hecho, si? Una cosa que es compartida, sobre todo. Es un sentimiento que se ha ido gestando de a poco, que se a ido como filtrado gaseosamente entre la gente. Y hay un apoyo muy importante del ser humano, tal vez no tanto de los gobiernos y de eso, pero si del ser humano en sí. Bueno, yo creo que esto en el futuro, creo que se va a instalar de alguna manera, esa necesidad de tener paz, de no estar continuamente con la violencia, y que ese registro, lo que si es necesario, hacerlo más evidente, es que la paz y eso  noviolencia tiene que empezar con uno,  en su diario vivir, con el prójimo, con aquel que está al lado, tambien con el desconocido que pasa port u lado sin que le des ninguna importancia, considerarlo como un ser humano. Y entonces esa violencia poco a poco se a va, esa noviolencia en verdad, se va  a ir instalando y va ir como desapareciendo, creo que en un futuro muy lejano el hombre puede ser y existir sin violencia. Ya.

Testimony about the March

. Albert is a union lawyer and health rights activist from Colombia. He shared his testimony while crossing the line of the Equator. He later asked to recite a poem while waiting in Tumbes for a bus to Lima.  He argues that health rights belong in the March because health injustice is a “slow genocide” and because “the situation in Colombia amounts to an undeclared war on those who cannot afford medical attention.”

The March, Me, the World and the Future

Montserrat, was the oldest member of the World March base team, the group of volunteers who completed the 96 days of marching around the World. She shared her testimonio after the Blessing Ceremony by the Amautas of Tiwanaku, Bolivia. In the third video we see her speaking a fews later at the World March concert in the ex-torture center of Villa Grimaldi, Santiago de Chile, after having travelled from Bolivia through Peru and Chile.
