Moments of the World March

Between October 2009 and January 2010 the Memoscopio team documented the significance of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence. Our collaboration with its organizers and participants resulted in the Testimonies from the World March Collection, which is housed in the Memoscopio Archives and available to educators, researchers, and the general public.

This exhibit features key moments of the journey with the marchers through various towns and cities in the United States, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Chile and Argentina.

Organizing in New York City

On the wake of the March's arrival to New York City, five local organizers and a marcher from Mexico reflect on their 
experiences leading up to that moment.

Organizing in Mendoza

As the March makes its journey through Europe and Africa, five organizers in Mendoza reflect about the meaning of the March and the preparations for closing ceremonied in near-by Punta de Vacas.

Boro Hall to City Hall Over the Brooklyn Bridge
